Welcome to the Official Website of CSI Kattakada

A parish is the epitome and symbol of Christian love and fellowship. It was the divine will to found this parish in the heart of a small town which is growing rapidly. Our church and the laity could exercise a great influence on all shades of life in the society we live. The present generation strives hard to uphold this heritage and hand it over to the posterity.

The CSI Parish in Kattakada was established in 1846 by the pioneering missionary Rev. John Cox.  It is one of the biggest parishes in South Kerala Diocese with more than 650 families in its fold.

Over the years our Parish has served the society in many meaningful ways and has been a powerful instrument in social and educational development

Rev. Dr. Ajith Kumar’s Visit: Rev. Dr. D.J. Ajith Kumar (Stewardship Committee Convener, Church of North India, Fulbani Diocese) has visited our parish on 01.02.2015, during the Sunday service. A member of our parish, Rev. Dr. Ajith Kumar is presently at Trivandrum to deliver the key-note address during the after-noon services in the Thiruvananthapuram Convention.
Rev. Dr. Ajith Kumar has also delivered the sermon on the subject “The Goodness of Creation”, as per the almanac of the Diocese. He has stated that when God created Man and put him in his garden, he has been entrusted with some responsibilities. As per Genesis 2:15, Man has been put in God’s garden to work there and save it. Thus, every man should save and protect the place where God has put him to be; the family, the Church, the society, the nation, the whole human kind and the environment.
