Welcome to the Official Website of CSI Kattakada

A parish is the epitome and symbol of Christian love and fellowship. It was the divine will to found this parish in the heart of a small town which is growing rapidly. Our church and the laity could exercise a great influence on all shades of life in the society we live. The present generation strives hard to uphold this heritage and hand it over to the posterity.

The CSI Parish in Kattakada was established in 1846 by the pioneering missionary Rev. John Cox.  It is one of the biggest parishes in South Kerala Diocese with more than 650 families in its fold.

Over the years our Parish has served the society in many meaningful ways and has been a powerful instrument in social and educational development

1. Palm Sunday: The Palm Sunday has been observed on 29.03.2015 in our parish. A procession holding tender coconut leaves was held in the town, before the Sunday service. During the sermon, it has been pointed out by Rev. K.P. Mohandas that the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem symbolised the defeat of the religious values which exploited the people in the name of their belief. When we sing “Hosannah” for Jesus Christ, we accept him as the King of our lives. Therefore, we are bound to obey his commandments.
2. SIUC Rally: A propaganda bike rally announcing the SIUC Rights Protection Rally to be held on 28th April, 2015 has been organised by the CEYF, Konniyoor District Committee. The rally visited Kattakada on 29th March. The members of the rally were accorded a war reception in the church premises. Rev. K.P. Mohandas and Shri. Dixon Raj (Secretary, CSI Kattakada District Council) who spoke on the occasion assured the maximum participation from our parish in the rally next month.
