Welcome to the Official Website of CSI Kattakada

A parish is the epitome and symbol of Christian love and fellowship. It was the divine will to found this parish in the heart of a small town which is growing rapidly. Our church and the laity could exercise a great influence on all shades of life in the society we live. The present generation strives hard to uphold this heritage and hand it over to the posterity.    

The CSI Parish in Kattakada was established in 1846 by the pioneering missionary Rev. John Cox.  It is one of the biggest parishes in South Kerala Diocese with more than 650 families in its fold. 

    Over the years our Parish has served the society in many meaningful ways and has been a powerful instrument in social and educational development

1.  Christmas Programme: The detailed programme of this year’s Christmas-New Year celebrations is given below;

i. Christmas Carol: Carol rounds will visit your home from Nov. 29 to December 21, in two teams. 

ii. Christmas auction: 17 & 21 December 7.00 AM.

iii. Children’s Christmas: December 20. Lucky Dip at 2.00 PM and arts performances from 6.00 PM onwards.

iv. Manger Exhibition and Competition: December 21-31. Each ward of our parish will arrange their mangers and the best among them will be awarded prizes. This will be organised by the Church Committee members representing the respective wards. 

v. Illumination of church compound: December 21-31.

vi. Lorry Procession by CEYF: December 24 (6.00 PM).

vii. Christmas Eve Service: December 24 (6.00 PM onwards).

viii. Cemetery Prayer: December 24 (5.00 PM).

ix. Christmas Service: December 25 (8.00 AM).

x. Year End Prayer: December 31. The members of our parish will visit your house this day for thanksgiving service. 

xi. New Year Eve: December 31 (11.00 PM). The New Year will be welcomed with lighted candles and prayers. 

   xii. New Year Prayer: January 1, 2016 (7.00 AM).
