1. Poor Fund Month Inaugurated: The Poor Fund Month under the aegis of CSI Kattakda parish has been inaugurated by Dr. D. Benjamin (Chairperson, Board of Studies, Malayalam University, Thirur and Chief Editor, Chraistava Deepika). The month is observed every year with a view to increase awareness among the parish members to get involved themselves in humanitarian activities in a greater scale. All houses under the parish will be visited during the month. The special collections during the month will be assigned to the Poor Fund for charitable activities. The month will end on 29.10.2013 with the Sunday Service when Rev. L.E. Sahanam (Vicar, MM Church Trivandrum and former Vicar of our parish) will be the Chief Guest.
In touching terms, Dr. Benjamin explained that it is not out of our goodwill that we engage in various types of charitable activities.  On the other hand, we are under compulsion to give, because service to the mankind is service to God.

2. An Appeal: A member of our parish belonging to Kuzhalar is suffering from a serious illness and currently undergoing treatment from Medical College Hospital, Trivandrum. He has to undergo two dialyses per week, the expenditure of which is unaffordable to his poor family. He is the sole breadwinner of his family and thus, his illness has caused miseries to all his family members. Anybody willing to help the above person may kindly contact Rev. T. Devaprasad.

3. Bhadrachalam Parish: The CSI Parish in Bhadrachalam (Andhra Pradesh) is under construction under the aegis of Women’s Board, CSI, South Kerala Diocese. This is a new parish church being constructed in one of our mission fields. Anybody willing to contribute for the above purpose may kindly contact Rev. T. Devaprasad.
