Christmas Celebrations, 2014

1. Christmas Eve: The Christmas Eve service has been conducted as “Musical Night” by the Church Choir led by the Choir Master Shri. Sylus Raj (CSI Cheruvarakonam). The service has been dedicated to the 148 victims of violence in a school in Peshawar, Pakistan, last week. During his message, Rev. R. Shibu, Asst. Vicar has stated that the increasing violence in the contemporary world reminds us of the violence against the children perpetuated by Herod at the time of the birth of Jesus. The Heaven’s message to the world at this juncture is “Do not be afraid”.
Splendid fireworks have been arranged after the service. The entire parish campus has been illuminated with stars. The Manger Competition has also been conducted. A lorry procession has been arranged by the CEYF to proclaim the message of Christmas in the surrounding areas.

2. Christmas Worship: Rev. D. Jacob (Treasurer, CSI, South Kerala Diocese) has been the Chief Guest during the Christmas Day Worship. In his sermon, he has pointed out that the manger, where Jesus was born has no compound walls. This made access possible for everybody to the spot. Similarly, the life and message of Jesus remained accessible to everybody.
