Announcements & Activities as on 08.03.2015

1.  SIUC Rally: A mass rally will be conducted in Trivandrum on 17.04.2015 at 2.00 PM, demanding assurances from the government regarding protecting job reservations for the SIUC Community. As a prelude to this rally, the Kattakada Area Convention of the SIUC forum will be held on 09.03.2015. Also, the ward level meetings in our parish will be held from 08.03.2015 to 14.03.2015 in the respective wards. All are requested to attend the above meetings to make it a grand success.

2. An Appeal:   Shri. John Bright, a member of CSI Thettiyara is bed-ridden for the last four years. His family is in receipt of assistance from the Palliative Care Unit in CSI, Kattakada. The marriage of his elder daughter is fixed for 8th April. The poor family has no resources to conduct the marriage.  Hence, a door collection was accepted on 08.03.2015 for the above purpose. Many persons – including those belonging to low income group – made liberal contributions for this family. However, they need more money as they have no source of income. If anybody is willing to make contributions for the above purpose, please contact our Presbyters or Shri. E. Vijaya Raj, Convener, Palliative Care Unit (Mob No: (91)9349141072).
